Weapon Description: A rather sharp Keyblade with a curved blade similar to a scimitar. Teeth are shaped like stalactites and the guard is shaped like the mouth of a cave. Keychain is a diamond.

She also channels the Darkness which makes up her body and heart into attacks, but rarely. Makes up for her lack of endurance by causing heavy damage with physical attacks.

Crystal was created in the Realm of Darkness six years prior to the events of Kingdom Hearts by Xehanort’s Heartless. Her body, heart, and soul were formed from pure Darkness as a replacement for Vanitas to create the X-blade in the future. She lived in the Realm of Darkness for some time with a pack of Neoshadows before being expelled into the Realm of Light, where she landed on Radiant Garden shortly after its restoration. She was homeless until she was 9, living off the kindness of strangers and Scrooge McDuck. When she was 9, Terra found her and took her in. Due to her exposure to Xehanort, she already had the ability to wield a Keyblade.

At Castle Oblivion, she trained with her best friend Kevin until she was 16. Terra talked about her Darkness to her and set her off when he wouldn’t give her a straight answer about why it was bad. She stormed off and took to the stars in her Keyblade Glider similar to how he had during Birth by Sleep. Terra sent Kevin to search for her.

She lands on Destiny Islands, where she asks Riku all the questions Terra wouldn’t answer. There, she meets Kairi and Sora, but she and Kairi both pass out shortly after their meeting. Crystal’s pure Darkness heart and Kairi’s pure Light heart couldn’t handle being in such proximity to each other. Crystal wakes up in a bed on the second floor of Riku’s house and hears Sora and Riku arguing in the hallway. Riku decides that, due to her nearly creating the X-blade with Kairi, it would be best to kill her. Sora doesn’t like the idea, but he doesn’t try to stop Riku because of the risk posed to Kairi. Crystal and Riku duel in his bedroom before she incapacitates Riku and runs away.

Crystal then finds herself being summoned to the Keyblade Graveyard. She meets John, who speaks to her in a very cryptic manner concerning her future. The two fight and she emerges victorious through a stroke of sheer luck. He bids her farewell with a final warning about her Darkness.

After multiple events in the story, Crystal finds herself at the Dark Coastline with no food. The spirit of Xion sees her and creates food out of magic so Crystal wouldn’t die of starvation. But as Xion leaves, Darkness begins to take over Crystal’s heart. She then hears the spirit of Xehanort, revealing her true origins. He reveals that she is his creation and “daughter.” She tries to resist, but is ultimately unable to stop herself from being possessed. She loses her mind and will to the inner Darkness and goes to the Destiny Islands to fuse with Kairi.

Their union is a success and they create a new body that is a combination of their appearances. The X-blade wielder has long strawberry blonde hair, purple eyes, and exhibits an aura of Darkness and Light at the same time. Kairi and Crystal fight the monster inside their fused heart and defeat her. Kairi takes control of the new body and Crystal willingly submits to her fate. She spends her days with Namine inside Kairi’s heart.

When the tournament occurs, she is taken from Kairi’s heart and brought to the dimension of the tournament. The John of that universe helps her enter the tournament while she hopes for victory and her independence returned.
